The Visual Arts IRC Fellows group created a truly unique experience in the culmination of this semester’s work as they merged the vastly different concepts of performance arts with sensor technology. The project, entitled Lost&Found, required the Fellows to create an archive of video, animation and audio files that were then used interactively, with the help of light sensors, during a live performance. This course is meant to promote the exploration and research of new areas of artistic achievement, as well as to combine the talents and strengths of several different disciplines. It is clear that the students this semester, along with their fearless leader Professor Lisa Moran, “found” plenty of success. For more information on this project, visit the Lost&Found Project page.
