Mission
To build teams that integrate thinking and practices from the arts, sciences, humanities, and engineering for the research and development of novel and promising digital media technologies, forms, and content to best serve public interests, including those at the community level.

To educate the next generation of arts, humanities, and science researchers by engaging students in creative, collaborative, hands-on, project-oriented, socially engaged experiences that complement classroom learning.

We envision a world in which digital media systems, tools, and practices are optimized to best serve the public interests of sustaining a strong and inclusive democracy, promoting and supporting health and wellbeing, and increasing the impact of factual knowledge on both collective and individual human choices.
